Even Rolling Stone called the song one of their Top Songs in the year 2015. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five songs that reached the top spots on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 in addition to Billboard Hot 100. In her Rap-Up interview, many listeners spoke about Cara's self-love journey and her doubts. Cara's music is known to be filled with messages of kindness, self-love and mental health. Everything stems from her personal experience as she suffered from mental health problems and insomnia. Reuters reported that she called her album "half turbulent, and half finished". Her growth was aided by therapy and she encourages others to seek help if necessary. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician, was born in Canada on the 11th of July 1996 to Italian descent parents. She was given a guitar by her parents after she was 10, which ignited her passion for music. Three years later at the age of 13 she began covering her favorite songs through YouTube an important media platform to show the world that she was talented and courage to become an artist. One of the songs Sweater Weather ended up getting noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create the tracks.
